Description
First UK edition. Originally published in the US by Viking in 1946. The spine has fading to the top and bottom edges and there is rubbing to the corners but otherwise the boards are clean and unmarked. The page edges are browned with some scattered spotting. There is a little browning to the endpapers, some surface creasing to the front pastedown and a little creasing to the bottom corners of the last few pages which are otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has chipping at the top of the spine with a quarter inch piece missing at the top right corner of the rear panel. Light chipping at the bottom of the spine, small closed tears to the corners and three closed tears to the bottom edges. Some discolouration to the folds and to the rear panel.
