Octavo [9 X 11 inches], black leather spine and tips, marbled paper over boards and matching end papers, page edges red, labels on spine are not complete, map frontispiece, viii, 362 pages.
There is a book plate on the front past down signed by the Chairman of the Survey Special Edition Executive Committee and stating that this is number 208.
Printed on heavy paper, there are a few illustrations in the text but no plates were bound in.
