Her editor laments that her memoires were fragmented and required some external research, with a few names and places inserted within brackets.
Stephenson's memoire primarily describes her extensive travels around Great Britain; to Cumberland, Wiltshire, Wales, Cheshire, Lancashire Worcester, Ireland, Hampshire, Kent and Surrey among many other places.
Chapter IX documents her fascinating mission to America, where she journied from New York to Philadelphia, partly told through letters to her family and friends.
