Twelve issues of this culinary periodical, bound together, although not a continuous run, with months skipped in the binding together of this monthly periodical.
Nonetheless, we believe that finding the periodical is rare in commerce.
One could find a random issue here or there, but probably seldom anywhere close to a dozen issues as the case here, with the contemporary binding preserving the individual issues rather well.

The issues are each 40 pages, plus wraps, which have cover art and advertisements -- there are no blanks.
The cover art is always printed in color and is especially striking -- it is a highlight of the publication.
The artwork can be summed up as stylized as typical of Art Nouveau, or Jugendstil, and we think their is a great similarity in particular to the Teutonic variant in many of the examples, but certainly not all of them.
Within each issue there are many other illustrations, including photographs, all black and white, and the advertisements often have illustrations, sometimes with color -- the ones on the back cover have color typically.
The issues in the bound volume are October 1901; November 1901; December 1901; February 1902; March 1902; April 1902; May 1902; June 1902 (this one is missing its front cover); September 1902; December 1902; January 1903; February 1903.
Rebacked with black calf.
The original pebbled cloth has various types of spotting, with a touch of pitting, but altogether not particularly disconcerting.
The pages within have age toning consistent with their paper stock.
The covers can have a fair amount of soiling, with generally not much within.
A few closed tearing, mostly short, and some small edge chips.
