Illustrated with four full-page woodcuts, including the frontispiece.
Some light spotting to the covers; front inner hinge cracked but sound, and light to moderate foxing throughout.
A very good copy of this rare and fragile volume.
Laid in is a card, signed, "Yours very respectfully, / Jacob Abbot / Farmington, Me / Oct 1876".
Preserved in a custom red cloth chemise and slipcase.
