A consecutive run of weekly issues of The Bedfordshire Standard, running from Saturday, 29 December 1883 to Saturday, 27 December 1884, comprising 52 weekly numbers, bound together in large folio format.
Each issue is set in dense multi-column type, with contents including parliamentary and political reporting, local government and parish news, court proceedings, agricultural and market reports, railway timetables, shipping and trade notices, public meetings, elections, and editorials aligned with the paper"s declared Conservative position.
With publisher's advertisements to the first and last few leaves of each issue.

Hinges reinforced, rear hinge cracked, with reinforcement lifting at upper extremities, but holding firm.
Joints cracked at extremities, more to to tail of spine.
Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities resulting in slight loss to morocco and paper.
Slight rubbing to boards with the odd scratch and handling mark.
Slight offsetting to endpapers.
Internally, firmly bound.
Pages bright and clean if typically age toned with one or two spots and handling marks.
One or two closed tears to fore edges of the odd page, notably the first leaf of the first issue, with two closed tears to the lower fore edge, not affecting the text.
