I am pleased to offer for your consideration a nice copy of the First Edition of the book: The Old Iron Road An Epic of Rails, Roads, and the Urge to Go West, autographed by the Author, David Haward Bain.
This medium-sized hard cover book (6 ¼ x 9 ½ inches, 434 pages) was published by the Viking Penguin Group of New York, dated 2004.
It is bound in blue paper-covered boards with bronze gilt titles on the spine and protected by a glossy, pictorial dust jacket.
There is a 16 pages sheath of b&w photos, many of them reproductions of vintage photos, starting at page 210.
Condition: This book is in near fine condition.
The dust jacket shows the faintest signs of edge wear and the hard covers are clean and bright, especially the titles on the spine.
There is some light scuffing to the glossy finish.
Inside, the only mark I found was the Author s signature on the title page; the interior pages and photos are clean and bright throughout.
Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound.
