8vo. 8 1/8". x, (2), 237pp. First edition. Very good book in very good minus dust jacket. Illustrated by Donald McKay. Orange cloth covered boards with black-stamped lettering and graphics on spine. Upper external edges are gray-tinted. Board panels are clean. Edges and corners at head and tail of board spine are crimped, chips and rub-throughs on corners. Tiny rubs on fore-edge corners. Small rub on lowermost edges front panel. Side and lower external page edges are age-darkened, lightly soiled in general and with several small stains. Previous owner's information on front paste-down. Light and intermittent smudges in text margins. Text block is sound. Dust jacket is soiled overall, more obvious against the white backgrounds. Spine and extremities are sunned. All folds are heavily creased and scuffed, several rub-throughs. Loss across width on edges at head and tail of jacket spine, approximately 1 1/2" by up to 1/4". All fore-edge corners are rubbed and with loss is up to 1/4". Upper and lower edges of back jacket panel have shallow horizontal creases and several small chips/closed tears of 1/8" or less. Upper and lower edges of front panel have several small chips and closed vertical tears. Price of $3.00 is intact.
