First Printing. A superb copy of the first UK edition. With red endpapers, one of only 500 copies. 1000 SIGNED copies with these endpapers were commissioned by Waterstones for their limited and numbered edition in slipcase but in the event only 500 were used and the remaining 500 were simply distributed to their shops and shelved alongside the ordinary trade edition. Many of these will have been purchased unwittingly and are now difficult to find in unused condition. This example is an unread copy in Very Fine condition.
