The set is uniformly bound, but comprised of mixed printings spanning 1930-1935. Volume 3 is inscribed by Sullivan to Dr. Julia Ross Low (d. 1934), a pioneering female physician in Chicago. She was the aunt of Chicago author Julian Street. The inscription reads "To Dr. Julia Ross Low in very happy compliance with the request of the author's long-time friend, Julian Street." It is then autographed and dated Dec. 8, 1930. The same volume is further inscribed by Dr. Low to a Frank Allen Weutten [?] on the front pastedown endpaper.
