The true first edition published by the Mountaineers in 1995, not the later reprint. The book has a tiny bit of wear at corners and a nick on front cover, else fine. I can't find any defects in the dust jacket, nicely preserved in a Brodart cover, original $15.95 price intact. The true story of two young men who swam the entire length of Grand Canyon on a whim, with no external support. This was back in 1955, when fewer than 200 people had run the river in boats. Despite being given up for dead, they made it. A classic of Canyon literature.
