The original red cloth has several spots on the upper board, an indentation on the fore-edges, and touches of rubbing to the extremities; gilt lettering on the upper board is clear, though faded on the spine. The interior leaves have remained creamy-bright and are completely clean. Ink signature on the front pastedown of Professor Charles H. Toll, Amherst 1926.
