There are historical and autobiographical chapters, chapters about Golf in America, The Upkeep of Golf Links, The Golf Ball, Seaside Courses, Lengthening Courses (already a problem in 1902 after the longer-distance Haskell rubber core ball was patented in 1899), Machine and Hand-Made Clubs, Golf Clubs and Their Manufacture, etc. with a good number on the varying aspects of play. Green cloth and gilt decorations are in excellent condition both on the front cover and the spine, little wear to cloth, lower front corner slightly bumped.
