Description

A biography of poet Harry Crosby, who inexplicably took the life of another man’s bride of six months, and subsequently his own life, in 1929. This copy, fine in fine dw with a sticker bruise atop the front flap, is inscribed on the half-title page for Hugh Moorhead, chairman of philosophy at Northeastern Illinois University and noted book collector. Laid in the book is a letter on university letterhead asking Wolff for a quote that Moorhead could include in a book he was writing at the time; Wolff’s response is hand-written along the left margin and returned to Moorhead.
