EAGLE JAKE AND INDIAN PETE BY JAY WILLIAMS ILLUSTRATED BY JOHN BURTON BRIMER 1947. When you look this book up online it comes up as a children s book but the humor is a bit too wry for kids. Please find a vintage book titled: Eagle Pete and Indian Jake by Jay Williams with illustrations by John Burton Brimer. This small hard cover book (5 ¾ x 7 ¾ inches 41 page) was published by Rinehart & Co of New York and Toronto dated 1947 (probably the First Edition as no other editions among the few found online). It is bound in paper-covered boards with the imagery typical of the book on the cover and plain brown on the rear. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The corners and spine tips of the covers are bumped and worn to the boards. They are also a bit darkened from handling. Inside the book is unmarked although there is some shading along the gutter on each endpaper presumably the acid from the binding glues. The sewn binding is still fully intact, and the binding feels tight and strong. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
