First (and only) edition of this juvenile book illustrated by the future founder of the seminal hardcore band The Cro-Mags - signed by Allen Ginsberg, who provided the introduction. One of the more unusual items from Ginsberg's career and a curious piece of punk history. Harley, later of The Cro-Mags, was just nine when this collection of his two self-illustrated stories was published by his mother, a hippie who had lived on a farm with Ginsberg and persuaded the poet to write the intro to this volume - a favor repaid by misspelling his name on the cover. Likely for this reason, rather uncommon when signed by Ginsberg. 8'' x 5.5''. Original pictorial boards with yellow cloth tape spine, as issued. [28] pages, illustrated in full color. Signed by Ginsberg to first page. Minor rubbing, shelfwear. Overall, clean and sound.
