FIRST EDITION hardcover, sewn-bound in reddish-brown cloth, with the "Sportsmen" series blind-stamped design featuring a bird in flight and a dog or wolf beneath, with gilt lettering on spine, is in VG condition, having light bumping and wear to corners; light edge-wear to edges (a tiny dent to top and a small slight bend to bottom edge); a small abrasion mark to top tinted reddish-brown closed page edges (see photo), which has in turn made corresponding small dents to top of pages from first free endpaper to p.

Dust jacket, enclosed in protective mylar (mylar not pictured), featuring detail of a painting of a muskie fish by William J.
Schaldach, is in G condition, having a small tear to bottom of front, some wear to top and bottom jacket spine, and some chipping wear to edges, along with some rubbing/scuffing to jacket surface (spine jacket shows some age-darkening).
Book is illustrated with a color frontispiece by Schaldach (showing a little larger portion of the painting on jacket cover), 18 half-tone photographs, four maps, and two diagrams describing the construction of a boat for muskie fishing.
