Green hardcover with gilt lettering to spine in unclipped dust jacket with a design by John Woodcock.
Jacket mostly clean, with a little loss to it and bumping to the book at the spine's ends.
Previous owner's name in ink and ink stamp dated 1961 to free endpaper.
Slight finger-marks to edge of earlier pages, thereafter clean.
While perhaps better known as an actor, this work was based on Shaw's play, Strange Providence and it won the 1962 Hawthornden Prize.
