Product Description

Rare original 1889 copy of "Scaling the Eagle's Nest: The Life of Russell H. Conwell, of Philadelphia." Conwell was a Civil War veteran who later became the founder and first president of Temple University. The book is overall in very good condition with some minor signs of wear and age. The covers have some light wear with an old manuscript paper label towards the spine. The binding is good and sound. There is a period name inscription to the front fep. There are a few pages with some offset tanning and some occasional light foxing & grubbiness. Along with that there may be the very occasional page with some kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor interior crack, creased page corner, minor stain or marking, tiny chip or tear, etc. The book measures approximately 6 5/8 inches by 5 1/4 inches and is 212 pages long with a frontispiece portrait and a couple of black and white plates. Please look at all of the photos to further note the condition.
