Joints – very good condition – gently worn and rubbed, sound. Corners – very good condition – rubbed and worn. Boards – very good condition – publishers leather boards, with gilt crest to the front board. Page edges – good condition – top edge darkened gilt, others untrimmed and tanned. Clamshell box – poor condition – structurally still intact (just) with the cloth stained marked and entirely lacking from one of the joints which is broken but could be repaired. End papers – good condition – plain paper end papers, foxed and tanned. Title – good condition – tanned and minor foxing. Pages – good condition – some foxing and marks, tanned.
