True first British printing. No jacket. Large format. Illustrated by G. K. Chesterton, Nicolas Bentley, Victor Reinganum and E. C. Bentley. Yellow boards with original paper label to spine and front are very good with a few marks, a little patchy browning (including to spine), little pushing/bumping to corners, little patchy rubbing to edges, few small bumps to edges and minor pushing/rubbing/bumping to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Rough cut page edges and bottoms have the odd small mark/spots of foxing. Top edge of pages have the odd small mark/minor foxing. Pages bit tanned. Inside boards/end-papers tanned with the odd small mark/spots of foxing. Occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately. Paypal accepted.
