Here for your consideration is yet another of my newly listed vintage, large format, and learned art books , in this case, titled: Art of the Medieval World Architecture, Sculpture, Painting, the Sacred Arts, by George Zarnecki. This large and thick hard cover book (9 x 11 ¾ x 1 ¾ inches, 477 pages) was published by Prentice-Hall and Harry N. Abrams, dated 1975 and a Third Printing (so stated). It is bound in an attractive, dark blue woven cloth resembling blue jean material with a gilt decoration on the cover and gilt titles on the spine. The book is protected printed dust jacket. The endpapers are decorated with a map of The Medieval World, Cities and Sites 300-1050 ). The book contains 532 illustrations including 57 plates in full color. Condition: The book is in very good condition. The dust jacket shows some edge wear, with small tears and rubbing at the corners and the spine extremities. The hard covers are handsome, with just the slightest bumping to the corners and the gilt decorations and titles still bright. Inside, the book is unmarked and unblemished throughout. The hinges are fully intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
