Several small silverfish marks around the edges of the dustjacket, creasing and chippingto head and foot of spine d.j. Offsetting to endpapers. Near-fine condition in very good d.j. Signed by T.G.H. Strehlow, with a presentation inscription by him to a Western Australian historian and writer, dated Christmas 1961. Scarce thus. Signed by the author, the renowned anthropologist and linguist T.G.H. Strehlow. The artist Rex Battarbee is often referred to as the man who 'discovered' and first trained Albert Namatjira to paint in water-colours. Includes colour plates both by Battarbee and by Namatjira and his followers.
