Sincerely, Norman Rockwell"" Letter includes original envelope, also Rockwell's stationary, and is postmarked October 22, 1960 from Stockbridge, Mass. The book itself is NOT signed, but is a first edition. Bound in black publisher's cloth with tan label stamped in gilt lettering on the cover, also on the spine. Includes illustrated slipcase in black and white. A correspondence is included at the back from the most recent owner when he purchased this copy in 2001. FROM THE DUST JACKET: ""Here is the autobiography of America's best-loved illustrator - Norman Rockwell, the painter whose work has adorned over three hundred covers of the Saturday Evening Post and whose exacting technique and unfailing humor have endeared him to the hearts of millions. Rockwell is a pleasant looking man with a prominent Adam's apple, who lives in a world where the most he asks is for a few friends, a square of canvas, and some paint. And here he relates, with the same candor and wit that mark his famous paintings, his life as a young lad, as n artist, and as a man -- his frustrations, failures, and triumphs."" CONDITION: Book is fine, and in beautiful condition. Dust jacket has very light wear at the extremities, else fine. Slipcase shows wear at all edges and is rubbed. A very nice, special copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
