This is an uncommon inscribed copy of one of the erotic novels that Iris Owens wrote for the Olympia Press in the 1950s. The plot centers around a bedridden woman and her affairs with her female nurse and a male cousin. Innocence is relatively early example of lesbian erotica written by a woman, although probably a straight one (she was married, albeit for a short time). Traveller's Companion series no. 33. Kearney (The Paris Olympia Press), no. 108.1 (second issue, with original price inked out and ""Francs: 1.200"" printed above). First edition (second issue). A very good or better copy with a mild spine lean. This copy is inscribed, ""The least biographical of the lot, Harriet Daimler aka Iris Owens."" Very scarce signed.
