He and his partner, Ralph Sylvester also operated the Los Angeles fine-press publishing company 'Sylvester & Orphanos.
' Spender collaborated with them in the publication of Graham Greene's *Weed Among Flowers* and *Tsarouchis: The Face of Modern Greece*.
