1942) is a British-born decorative arts historian and curator specializing in Art Nouveau and Art Deco design.
He has served in senior curatorial roles at major institutions, including the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, and has authored numerous authoritative works on turn-of-the-century decorative arts, jewelry, furniture, and design movements.
Duncan is widely regarded as a leading scholar of French Art Deco and early 20th-century European design.
Georges de Bartha was a specialist in French decorative arts and fine bookbinding, associated with the celebrated Sutton Place Foundation collection.
