A splendid picture of Washington and his defiant troops. Good+; a very good, clean tight copy but covers lightly faded at extremities; d/w is fair with darkened, rubbed spine, a large 4” closed tear on back, and several smaller open tears front and back. Doubly signed and inscribed by Anderson with a flat signature on the title page and inscription to Hollywood screenwriter Frank Partos on the half-title page. Partos shared an Academy Award nomination for the Snake Pit (1948) and co-wrote the film noir classic The House on Telegraph Hill.
