The supplementary volume, 'Colored Plates for Ladies' Guide' (193 × 126 mm) contains 5 full-colour and 10 tinted plates bound in printed wrappers.
The plate list printed in the book records 35 plates; Plate III ('Reproduction in Plants') and Plate IV ('Ovum and spermatozoa in Man and Lower Animals') are not present, and would appear not to have been bound in.
