Morrison won the Nobel Prize for literature for her body of work and the Pulitzer Prize for this novel, which was the basis for a film directed by Jonathan Demme and starring Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover. Page block tanned even more than most UK books (which use very bad paper, historically), but otherwise fine in a near fine dust jacket with the original price covered by a £14.95 sticker.
