Inscribed First Edition, First Printing of the first volume of Lenoir Chambers' excellent two-volume biography of Confederate Civil War General Thomas ""Stonewall"" Jackson. Interestingly, author Chambers won the Pulitzer Prize in 1960 in connection with his day job. Chambers was the editor of a Norfolk newspaper and was awarded Pulitzer for Editorial Writing. Inscribed by Lenoir Chambers to a previous owner on the front endpaper. Red cloth, 597 pages. Has some tanning on the page edges and front and back endpapers.
