J. EDGAR HOOVER MEMORIAL TRIBUTES IN THE CONGRESS 1974 HARD COVER. On offer here is another of those books published on the occasion of the memorial services in the Congress of the United States, in this case, titled: “J. Edgar Hoover, Late Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice—Memorial Tributes in the Congress of the United States and Various Articles and Editorials Relating to His Life and Work.” This medium-sized hard cover book (6 x 9 ¼ inches, 329 pages) was published by the U.S. Government Printing Office, Washington, dated 1974. It was compiled for the Joint Committee for Printing of the Ninety-Third Congress, Second Session and known as Senate Document No. 93-68. It is bound in the traditional mourning binding of black cloth with gilt titles on cover and spine. There is a rather severe photo portrait of Mr. Hoover as the frontispiece. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The hard covers are clean, unblemished and the gilt titles bright and attractive. Inside, a former owner has left his inked name on the front endpaper. The interior pages are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight, sound and square. This book is not ex-library or a remainder.
