New York, Frederick Stokes Company: First Edition, 1919, green cloth covered boards with pictorial front board depicting an indoor scene of a yellow bird on a bowl of water in front of flowers by a window, which image is replicated on the dust jacket and frontispiece. The boards show light shelf wear and evidence of handling but the text block is tight and essentially clean internally. There is some age toning to the FFEP which contains the following handwritten dedication, "" Wesley Hayden Grainger from Marshall Saunders. The hope of the nation is in our boys and girls. 1920"". The dust jacket is present but shows edge wear and has a piece missing from the front. It does not have a price on the flap and is not clipped. While the book is in Very Good plus condition, the dust jacket is categorized as being in Good condition only. A scarce item.
