Hardcover, blue cloth boards with paper label on front and spine.
Exterior is spotted and soiled and paper labels are yellowed.
Edges and corner show bumps/wear with the most severe being on the front board near the upper outside corner.
Internal binding is good, no hinge issues.
Paper is toned due to age and there is some scattered foxing and spotting present.
Inscribed and signed by the author on the front end page to Eamon de Valera: "To Eamon de Valera, President of the Irish Republic, from Mary Ethel McAuley.
".
The same page also contains two monogram ink stamps which shows the president initials.
This book was likely presented by the author shortly after the 1916 Easter Rising which proclaimed an Irish republic.
