A very good copy of this relatively rare Rupert the Bear annual from 1954. No Dust jacket (as issued?). Cover: laminated boards with colour snow scene to all faces and blue and black lettering to front; very clean and bright for its age; slight fading to spine; very slight bumping to top and bottom of spine; other edges and corners hardly rubbed at all; overall in very good condition for its age. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; both hinges sound; ownership section of contents page completed; painting contest mostly coloured in with coloured pencil, but otherwise clean; title page not price clipped; colour illustrated paste-downs and fly leaves; some darkening to page edges. Illustrated throughout in colour. 124 pp. NB. subject matter of some stories could be considered racist/sexist in modern terms but should be viewed in age context.
