Description

Celeste Goes Dancing and Other Stories, An Argentine Collection, edited by Norman Thomas di Giovanni. Hardcover, First UK Edition (1989), SIGNED. Book in very good condition, in a similar unclipped dust jacket. The book has minor bumping to the bottom of the spine, with some ageing internally and to the page edges. The dust jacket shows a little general shelf wear. Overall a lovely, tight and clean copy. (See pictures). The book is inscribed to the title page: 'For Brian Aldiss, from his newest friend & admirer', and is signed by the editor Norman Thomas di Giovanni, and is dated '17 May 1993'. Also enclosed is a letter from Norman Thomas di Giovanni to Brian Aldiss, gifting him the book. The book was a personal copy owned by the author Brian Aldiss OBE, part of his effects at the time of his death on August 19th 2017. This is authenticated by a slip enclosed with the book, signed by the Literary Executor of his estate.
