A very nice copy of the rare 1964 edition, one of only 250. First published privately in 1893, this is the earliest publicly available edition. Waite, a poet, occultist, member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and the Knights Templar, here translates this significant dictionary of alchemical definitions, first compiled by Martinus Rulandus, a German physician and alchemist of the early 17th century. Pages are very good: no inscriptions, markings, notes or foxing. Text block externally has faint age-based wear. Boards are fine, a slight whitening to to top and bottom (see photos) but no material impact. Spine and binding excellent. DJ is price clipped but very good: no real issues beyond normal expected age wear. It is covered in a clear protective cover from a previous owner which is likely permanent. This is an excellent copy of a rare edition of an important book on the subject. See photos all of which are of the copy for sale, we don't use stock photos
