Four volume, first edition set of the lives of Englishwomen is bound in green patterned paper and green leather on the corners and spines. The paper is darkened with age, leather rubbed at the edges, spines, with red labels, are darkened and rubbed at the head/tail and edges, years at foot are obscured by wear on two volumes, Vol III has a tear in the leather corner.
