Souze, the rear cover in black, grey endleaves, plain edges. (Corners and headcaps slightly bumped). Gordon Ray, The Art of the French Illustrated Book, 1700 to 1914, 254. Light foxing but a very good copy. The striking binding has remained in remarkably good condition. This was Rudolf Nureyev's copy, bought from the Nureyev Foundation when it had premises in Bath.
