First Edition. Hardback. No Dust Jacket. 8vo. pp 51. Original publisher's pale yellow cloth, lettered gilt at the spine. No date, [1941]. Signed presentation from the author on the front endpaper, 'To Jacques Vallette, Poems 1937-1941, from John Waller, 27 May 1946, Oxford'. Waller has added the words 'For Bill' in ink at the last poem 'The confessions of Peter Pan' and also mad a couple of corrections. Jacques Vallette was a translator who made many translations from English including Kipling there are some likely pencilled notes in French in his hand throughout the text and he may have considered translating this work although there seems to be no record of it. Very good with some light wear (sl spotting and faint creasing at rear.)
