The book has clean covers, old owner bookplate on short-title page (avoids covering EP map), newspaper clipping of review of the book tipped-in to top of last blank page (but paper has heavily browned and transfered browning through the page and onto the preceding facing page), no writing or pen/pencil/ink marks on any pages, no foxing, solid binding.
The original dust jacket has 3cm loss at spine ends, similar loss along bottom edge of rear panel, original printed price still present on front flap corner.
The book measures 210mm tall x 135mm, and has 311 pages, 21 b/w photos, EP maps.
Account of the first west to east passage which also coincided with the first circumnavigation of North America.
