This copy with a long and amusing Inscription from Phillips to a bookseller with a drawing of a skull, in part: ""Any bookseller who extends credit to a writer is a gambler."" Additionally laid in are two Autograph Notes Signed by the author to the bookseller; one sending this book; the other apologizing for paying his book bill late.
