VG/1st. Very nice copy for research. Clean and solid, firm binding, all pages present. There is some light foxing to the end papers, and some light foxing on an occasional page. There are 3 citations that are underlined in red ink. Several citations are highlighted, but all citations are easy to read. There is a small light stain on the pages fore edge. This is a first edition of a scarce book, but is really better suited for reseach.
