(~ translated from Italian as ""Author’s Tribute…). Octavo. 176 pages. Publisher’s blue cloth covers with paper title label to spine. Somewhat grisly (yet striking) dust jacket artwork by ""Gill"". Rear pastedown endpaper with affixed additional paper spine label and pencil annotation: ""Collated & complete/ pp. B. Quaritch Ltd/ CGB"". Iscariot was the first full length novel published by the controversial (and short lived) Mandrake Press, founded by PR Stephensen. The rear dust jacket flap advertises the upcoming publication of Aleister Crowley’s novel Moonchild. . Boards lightly bowed, minor rubbing at extremities. Uneven toning to endpapers. Faint foxing to front and rear pages. Dust jacket lightly rubbed along folds, edges with toning, small chips and edge tears, now protected in mylar sleeve.
