Black cloth stamped in gold on backstrip. Panels, pages and endpapers are all bright and clean. The rare DJ would grade fine if not for two minor flaws; light sunning to rust-color hue on DJ spine, and minor rubs on flap corner tip/edges. From his wife's hand is the uncommon bio of the French biophysicist and philosopher. His namesake Du Noüy ring method is a technique for measuring the surface tension of a liquid, and still used today. Near fine/near fine. Rare in DJ.
