Nov 1920.
' Kerr died on 8th December 1920 aged 68, only one month after presenting this copy to William Wright.
He was minister at Dirleton, East Lothian, from 1878 until his death.
The book was published simultaneously in a small paper limited edition of 500 copies, bound in brown cloth.
Because of the weight of this book the binding is easily damaged, and it frequently turns up in not very good condition.
Our copy has a neat repair to a small tear at the head of the spine, but is otherwise a very attractive copy indeed.
Kerr's book is one of the most important golf books ever written, and a key book in the library of golf.
