130 p. Affectionate portrait of Stuart Hamblen (1908-89), one of American radio's first singing cowboys. He went on to become an actor, radio show host, and songwriter, later undergoing a Christian conversion and becoming a Temperance movement supporter and recurring candidate for political office. He is best known as the composer of the song This Ole House (1954). Signed by Oberia Hamblen on the front flyleaf. Small octavo. Original blue cloth binding, with gilt titles. The dust jacket is a bit edgeworn, with some occasional chipping; otherwise very good. Signed by Author.
