This author signed volume has paper bound cover boards and brown cloth bound spine The title, author and publishing year appear on the front cover board This book is author signed, by Roland W Paul, on the first free endpaper This book contains 40 illustrated plates A Kermit C Parsons ownership stamp appears in the first pastedown endpaper, as well, and is signed by Parsons below ""The chief aim [of this work] has been to bring together in a concise and handy form a series of drawings of many of the old bits still remaining in London streets that of necessity must disappear before long, and to record some that have lately been pulled down, accompanied by such short descriptive notes as seemed necessary to give their position and history where any existed"" (From the preface) There is minor chipping and cracking at spine ends but the binding is still sound The cover boards show signs of modest rubbing, soiling and age darkening, but text and illustrations are still clean and undamaged 24 p + 40 plates pp.
