Collection comprises: 44 4x6"" Fujifilm colour prints. AN IMPORTANT AND UNIQUE COLLECTION: BANKSY'S EARLY WORK DOCUMENTED. This group of well-taken and produced photographs captures Banksy's work in and around London up to June 2007 (all photographs are date-stamped 7 June 2007). Many of the works documented here are now lost, having been removed, painted over or destroyed. Some are apparently documented here for the first time. 14 of these larger photographs are from Banksy's famous 'rat' series. Other well known works include: two versions of 'Girl with Balloon'; 'Snorting Copper'; a very early image of 'Old Skool' (before the eponymous phrase was added); 'Another Crap Advert' (Shoreditch railway bridge); 'Keep It Real'; the Abu Ghraib prisoner; the Charles Manson stencil; and many tags and other works. The identity of the photographer is unknown, and reasonable attempts have already been made to identify them; therefore they qualify for an 'orphan works' application, should full reproduction rights be sought. All photographs are in excellent condition: entirely unmarked and without any damage or scuffing.
