AUTHOR: Ehrenfried E.
Pfeiffer (1899-1961) was a German soil scientist, anthroposophist, and early pioneer of biodynamic agriculture, working in Switzerland and later in the United States.
A disciple of Rudolf Steiner, Pfeiffer made significant contributions to soil fertility research, composting techniques, and biodynamic farming methods, helping found the Biodynamic Farming & Gardening Association.
His writings including The Earth's Face and later works on soil treatment and biodynamics fused ecological observation with holistic agricultural principles, influencing organic and environmental thinkers in the mid-20th century and beyond.
